Ramsauer 131 MULTIFLEX, RAL 9002 gray-white , 310 ml is suitable for sealing single-pane and insulating glass (also in combination with VSG panes) in wood, metal as well as plastic frames. 131 MULTIFLEX is well compatible with VSG foils (PVB), in case of cast resins and in connection with insulating glasses please consult our application technology. Suitable for sealing connection and movement joints. Suitable for mirror joints.
131 MULTIFLEX is a ready-to-use, one-component silicone sealant specially developed for window and door construction. The material is UV, weather and ageing resistant. Very good adhesion, even without primers, to glass as well as many metallic substrates and a variety of plastics. When vulcanized, 131 MULTIFLEX is physiologically harmless and inert.
General information: It is imperative to observe the expiration date of the material, otherwise the mechanical properties of the product as stated can no longer be guaranteed. Attention must be paid to the ambient and substrate temperature. Pre-treatment of the bonding surfaces: The surfaces to be bonded must be load-bearing, dry and free of dust, oil and grease. If necessary, carefully pre-treat the bonding surfaces using a suitable primer. Joint formation: In the case of movement-compensating joints, the dimensions must be designed for the maximum movement absorption. A minimum joint cross-section of 3x5 mm must be observed. The joints must be formed in accordance with the applicable standards and guidelines. Application of the sealant: Ramsauer 131 MULTIFLEX, RAL 9002 gray-white, 310 ml must be applied to the joint uniformly and bubble-free within the processing temperature. If the substrate is pretreated with primer, its flash-off time must be observed. Smoothing work must be carried out within the specified skin forming time. During finishing work, ensure good contact with the bonding surfaces/joint edges (smoothing with Ramsauer smoothing agent). When using smoothing agent, any water streaks formed must be removed immediately after sealing, otherwise visual impairments are to be expected.
In combination with some paint systems (e.g. linseed oil varnish, stand oil varnish), discoloration of the sealant may occur. Heavy exposure to tobacco smoke or environmental influences may lead to discoloration. Due to the glaze types offered, a self-adhesion test is required.
