Exterior window connection tape, white 1 SK, 25m consists of a fleece composite that can be plastered over with 1 SK strip, optionally laminated with butyl strips on one side or alternating sides. The exterior connection tape is used for fast and secure external sealing of window connection joints that is impermeable to driving rain and open to diffusion, and is used as an external seal that can be plastered over.

All profile openings, e.g. cut edges of extensions and window sill profiles or continuous grooves in fitted roller shutter boxes, must be sealed with sealant.

• The surfaces to be bonded on the window frame and masonry must be clean and dry, free of dust, grease and release agents (such as for new plastic profiles).
• The surface coating on wooden windows should be a few days old, as the solvents that otherwise escape can reduce the adhesion of the tape. If necessary, remove soiling with grease-dissolving cleaning agents. Pay attention to the material compatibility.
• In the case of highly absorbent, sandy substrates, pre-treat the building structure with an adhesion promoter, e.g. DRG spray primer, DRG spray adhesive or solvent-free primer.
• In the event of break-outs in the masonry, a clean smooth coat must be applied again.
• When bonding, the tapes must be applied to the frame without creases, in parallel and pressed down all the way. Allow the tapes to overlap at the corners and seal them so that they are watertight against driving rain. bond airtight.
• Movement absorption must be ensured by creating sufficient loops in the area of the connection joint.
• Minimum adhesive width on the window 15 mm, on the wall at least 30 mm
• The sealing tape must be sufficiently bonded to the masonry in the area of the subsequent plaster cover (rule of thumb: at least 75 % of the contact surface).
